Cats In Our Care

Last updated: 18th March 2025

For a better understanding of the way we work please visit the Adoption Process page. You can also contact Adoptions on 07376 644085 (between 9am-5pm) or at [email protected].

We are currently looking for homes for a small number of indoor cats and for cats who require rehoming where there is access to a secure garden or catio.  If you are interested in finding out more and meet the criteria, please fill in our application form to adopt which you will find on our website. All applications are subject to a home check and will be assessed on an individual basis. If you are considering rehoming an indoor cat you will need plenty of space with secure windows and be able to offer the cat companionship and appropriate stimulus. A donation is payable upon adoption.

We also have a number of kittens looking for a new home. Whilst the kittens are not suitable for rehoming with young children 10 or under, they should be happy with older children or in an adult only home.

If you are interested please fill in our application form to adopt which you will find on our website and we will consider each application individually based on these criteria.

All of our kittens are rehomed in pairs and require access to a garden, away from very busy roads. If you would be prepared to consider another cat then please mark your application accordingly.

A home visit will be required in all cases and will be carried out by one of our adoption team. A donation is also required.

Lucas

Children 8+

Status: Available (FOS)

Bio: 5-year-old Lucas is a cheeky, confident cat who likes to explore and is very friendly and affectionate.

He is deaf and so he will need to be kept safely away from traffic and other potential danger.

Ideally Lucas needs to be rehomed where there is a secure garden or ‘catio’ as he is too adventurous to be confined in a small space.

Are you able to give Lucas his special home?

Hugo

Cat-friendly
No children

Status: Available (FOS)

Bio: 4-year-old Hugo is currently in the care of one of our indoor fosterers and is desperate to find a home where he can enjoy exploring outside and burn off his energy. Whilst he has in the past shown some behavioural issues, he has greatly benefited from the time spent with the fosterers and now enjoys a stoke when he sees them, likes human company and is very playful and interactive.

He needs a patient, experienced cat owner who will work with us to understand his needs, and with the benefit of being able to play in a garden and with the interaction with another cat of a similar temperament, we believe that he would learn to play better and become a loyal and loving companion.

Hugo cannot live with young children and would prefer an adult only home or one with teenagers.
Garden access is essential

Charlie is an affectionate boy who would benefit from a quiet home where he can relax and show his loving nature with no other pets or children. He has a medical condition which is controlled by daily medication and for which the Trust will provide support.

Tilly is a sweet girl who may be shy at first but once she gains her confidence she will show her loving and affectionate nature. She would prefer a quiet calm home without children or other pets.

Both Charlie and Tilly need access to a safe garden away from busy roads.

Status: Available (FOS)

Bio: 4-year-old Niko needs a patient owner who will give him time to settle and then the opportunity to explore the great outdoors.

Currently in the care of one of our fosters, Niko is now looking for his forever home, where he can settle down and build a loving and trusting relationship.

He is affectionate and likes to play but needs time and patience to get there. He currently sleeps during the day, in a safe space, and comes out at night to eat and play.

Prior to coming into our care, he really enjoyed his outdoor time and needs access to a garden, away from very busy main roads.

See Niko on video in our Cats On Camera section.

Status: Available (EP)

Bio: 4 1/2-year-old Rosie is a beautiful, cheeky and playful girl who adores a fuss and will sit with you, but doesn’t like to be picked up.

She will tell you when she’s had enough and needs to be allowed her own space at times and so would prefer to be the only pet in an adult-only household.

She would like access to a safe garden away from busy roads.

Pebbles

Children 10+

Status: Available (FOS)

Bio: Pebbles is a shy but sweet-natured cat who is looking for a calm, patient owner who can offer him his forever home.

Aged six, he came into WCWT’s care as a stray and he has flourished with his fosterer, who describes him as an “incredibly sweet, soppy boy”, once people have won his trust.

He will need time and space to adjust but will be a lovely companion for the right person.

We think Pebbles may like outdoor access, once he is settled, away from busy roads.

See Pebbles on video in our Cats On Camera section.

We may also have video footage of some of the cats currently available for rehoming…

We are always looking for new foster homes for cats in our care, please read our fostering page for more information.
